As part of Brooklyn Book Festival’s 2012 Bookend Events, DEBUT LIT will host “New on Tap: a Showcase of Debut New York Authors.” The event will take place at Pacific Standard in Brooklyn.
Readers will include:

The event will be co-hosted by Debut Lit founder and writer Rebekah Anderson and PitchKnives & Butter Forks bloggers Jason Leahey and Shannon Dunlap. Free, 21+.
DEBUT LIT will be part of Lit Crawl Seattle, a literary extravaganza organized by DL’s Rebekah Anderson with 17 readings and performances throughout Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.
The crawl is part of City Arts Fest and kicks off the festival’s first full night of programming.

The DEBUT LIT event will take place at The Pine Box, 1600 Melrose Ave, during the 7pm phase of the Lit Crawl, which runs from 5pm until late. Free, 21+.

Oct. 6, 2011. DEBUT LIT at Hugo House on Capitol Hill in Seattle, 1634 11th Ave.”Me Talk Funny Someday”: A Book Launch Party for Suzanne Morrison‘s YOGA BITCH, with funny ladies Nicole Hardy and Tina Rowley. The reading is free, and the bar will be open serving cocktails inspired by Suzanne’s adventures studying yoga in Bali. Books will be for sale by Elliott Bay Book Company. Doors open at 7 p.m., and readings begin at 7:30.
April 23, 2011 – DEBUT LIT event at Bartholomew Winery in Georgetown, 3100 Airport Way South, in the old Rainier Brewery, featuring dramatic readings with Laurie Frankel, author of The Atlas of Love, Urban Waite author of The Terror of Living and Suzanne Morrison author of Yoga Bitch. The authors will be accompanied by actors reading the characters’ dialogue. Book signing and party to follow. Music by The Calculus Affair.
April 13, 2011 – DEBUT LIT cocktail party for Alexi Zentner, author of Touch, from W.W. Norton, at Vermillion, 1508 11th Avenue, Seattle, following his reading at Elliott Bay Books, which starts at 7 p.m. Introduction by Peter Mountford, author of A Young Man’s Guide to Late Capitalism.

May 2007 – DEBUT LIT release party for Phil LaMarche in NYC
DEBUT LIT hosted a West Coast party and reading for RANDOM HOUSE author Phil LaMarche and his acclaimed debut novel American Youth at private art salon, The Hive, in San Francisco. The event was attended by nearly 100 people and featured music, an art show, a wine pouring by sponsor LeVin Winery, and video installations.
April 2007 – DEBUT LIT release party for Phil LaMarche in San Francisco
DEBUT LIT ushered in its first release party and reading for LaMarche at the KGB Bar in New York City. DEBUT LIT also welcomed Christian TeBordo, author of The Conviction and Subsequent Life of Savior Neck from Spuyten Duyvil press. The event was attended by over 75 art and literature lovers from around New York, including press. N+1 hosted the after party at their offices in Manhattan.
